Suppliers see artificial intelligence as a bright spot on their road to recovery.
Looking back at 2024, we see that the optical transmission market is still recovering. Customers are still managing too much equipment inventory. Now it seems that 2025 may be the year that suppliers can solve these problems.
Group Vice President of a consulting firm that conducts market research for the communications industry:
"Suppliers report that order flow is going up. Revenue in North America is also improving. This is where most of the extra inventory backlog is located."
"Starting in 2025, excess inventory of North American service providers will be a thing of the past."
The Fiber Broadband Association is very hopeful about the fiber equipment market. This is not surprising since the US fiber industry set new deployment records in 2024.
